Designing the Museum of Tomorrow Website: A Digital Home for a Future-Looking Initiative

OVERVIEW
Museum of Tomorrow is an experimental cultural initiative aimed at shaping future narratives through art, design, and critical conversation. The challenge was to develop a website that could visually embody the forward-thinking identity of the initiative while remaining accessible, informative, and user-friendly.

MY ROLE
Lead Designer
  • Led the entire visual and UX design process from scratch
  • Designed layout, structure, UI system, and interactions
  • Oversaw development collaboration to ensure execution quality and performance

OBJECTIVES
  • Present the museum's mission and future-facing philosophy in a compelling visual form
  • Make project info, events, and participation opportunities easy to navigate
  • Build a digital identity that could scale with future updates and content

PROCESS
  • Defined a content and UX strategy in line with the museum’s goals
  • Developed a flexible design system with bold typography and modular layout blocks
  • Built a fully responsive experience optimized for clarity, performance, and narrative flow
  • Collaborated with developer on micro-interactions, smooth loading, and mobile performance

OUTCOME
  • A visually distinctive yet highly usable site
  • Positive response from funders, partners, and collaborators
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a full digital product from concept to launch with strong art direction and UX thinking
